PEFFER SANDS & RAVENSHEUGH BEACH

east lothian beaches explored ... again :)   i can now confirm that i have been to every single beach in east lothian :) i've seen them all, walked them all and i do have my favourites (may write separate 'summary' post with characteristics, directions etc)
this one was a 'special find', not exactly what i expected, bceause i got lost between car park and the beach itself and emerged from the woods right opposite belhaven bay, right next to river tyne. althou i didnt plan this route, i really enjoyed it
but let's start from the beginning :)
to get here follow A1 to dunbar, then A198, pass tyninghame and turn into limetree walk. there is a car park at the end of the road, charge £2/day, no facilities thou (no toilet)
from the car park follow dirt track into the woods. no signposts to direct ppl to the beach so i just followed the track straight ahead and that's how i ended up on a rocky beach. i checked the map then and discovered that i was just 'around the corner' from where i wanted to be so i slowly walked towards the end of woods and the great beach itself. in the meantime i found another interesting spot with beautiful quirky rocks, much to my joy :) i love geology and already have a collection of photos of unique rocks and formations of east lothian (lots of rock at home too lol)

.
.

no to plaze regionu east lothian zostaly juz przeze mnie 'odkryte' wszystkie :) przeszlam sie po wszystkich, mam swoje ulubienice i chetnie sie podziele informacjami, moze w sumie napisze jakis 'zbiorczy' post o plazach east lothian...

east lothian has very interesting geological past, hard to believe that this area had incredibly high volcanic activity in the past :)
