THE CAIRNWELL MUNROS

prognoza pogody byla nieciekawa wiec jedyna sensowna opcja w tych warunkach byla relatywnie krotka wyprawa na munrosy w okolicach glenshee. jako ze jest to rowniez osrodek sportow zimowych, trasa przeplata sie z wyciagami orczykowymi, idzie po stokach narciarskich, a sam cairnwell jest dosc 'industrialny' w swoich wygladzie. nic inspirujacego, tym bardziej dzikiego, ale byla to w sumie jedyna opcja.. no i zalicza sie az 3 munrosy w dosc latwy sposob - trasa zaczyna sie z parkingu polozonego na wysokosci okolo 800mnpm.

to keep is short: weather forecast was really crap so the only sensible option in given conditions was a walk in glenshee. the area is known as a snow sports centre therefore our route was crossing ski slopes and underneath chair lifts etc, the cairnwell itself looks a wee bit 'industrial'.. nothing really inspiring, nothing remote, nothing wild, but it was the only option -and what is more - we bagged 3 munros quite easily as the walk starts from the car park marked with 800m.

MUNROS:

carn aosda - 3008 ft, munro no278

carn a'gheoidh - 3198 ft, munro no 182

the cairnwell - 3061 ft, munro no 246

szczyt carn aosda zdobylysmy w 40 min. gratulacje - pierwszy munro Heleny!

we reached the summit of carn aosda within 40 mins. congrats to Helca - it's her 1st munro!
