cairngorms, dzien 3. po 'bezsciezkowym' wejsciu na sgor gaoith poprzedniego dnia, tym razem wybralysmy szlak gdzie na pewno jest sciezka :) uderzylysmy na nizsze partie cairngorms, okolice loch morlich i doliny glenmore, a dokladnie:

dolina glenmore - meall a'bhuachaille - creagan gorm - creag a' chaillich -craggowrie- badagiush outdoor centre - glenmore.

trasa piekna (sciezki wyrazne), pogoda dosc sprzyjala- mialysmy szczescie byc po slonecznej i suchej stronie podczas gdy wyzsze szczyty cairngorms dosc dlugo pokryte byly mgla a potem niezle na nich lal deszcz. popoludniu oczywiscie sie wypogodzilo (standard) i widoki byly przepiekne. ach, prawie zapomnialam, zanim ruszylysmy w trase skoczylysmy do kafeterii 'mor' (przy centrum turystycznym glenmore) i uraczylysmy sie goframi z bita smietana i dzemem. to byl beaty 'pierwszy cukier' od 3 miesiecy, palaszowala swoje gofry tak ze ludzie w kafeterii odwracali sie zeby zobaczyc co sie dzieje :)

cairngorms, day 3. after 'pathless' sgor gaoith, this time I made sure that wherever we go, we have a good, visible path. we 'attacked' lower parts of cairngorms:

glenmore - meall a'bhuachaille, creagan gorm -creag a'chaillich - craiggowrie - badaguish outdoor centre - glenmore

very nice walk, (good, visible paths!). we had quite a good weather -we were lucky to be 'on the sunny side' whereas higher parts of cairngorms were covered in thick fog and were 'blessed' with heavy rain. of course, as usually, afternoon was much better than morning and the views were spectacular!

oh, I nearly forgot to mention that before we hit the hills, we had a wee meal at the 'mor' caffee -we had fresh wafers with cream and jam. it was 'first sugar' in 3 months for beata and she enjoyed it so much that some people in the caffee actually turned around to see what's going on there, in our corner :)

bothy - miejsce gdzie mozna przenocowac. zawsze to jakis dach nad glowa, lepsze niz namiot jak pada, nie? niestety w bothy nie ma ani wody ani toalety, no ale chociaz na leb nie kapie :)

bothy -place where you can spend a night. unfortunately, bothies don't have any facilities but it's got a roof which is essential when it rains, isn't it? well, on a rainy night it's better than a tent anyway :)

CAIRNGORMS - SGOR GAOITH & SGORAN DUBH MOR

cairngorms dzien drugi. pogoda nadal niezbyt, ale zdecydowalysmy sie zaatakowac munrosa, a nawet dwa. trasa dosc dluga, niestety w polowie drogi sciezka zniknela i trzeba bylo isc na szczyt na przelaj przez wrzosowisko... gdzie-niegdzie lezal snieg wiec momentami szlo sie ciezko a szczyt zlewal sie totalnie z bialym niebem i przed soba mialysmy tylko wielka biel (a dokladnie szarosc) ... ale za to ze szczytu sgor gaoith widoki piekne- sciana gory urywa sie nad rozlegla dolina (glen eanaich, bylysmy tam juz w zeszlym roku) z wielkim niebieskim jeziorem (loch eanaich). zapiera dech w piersiach, momentalnie zapomnialysmy ze jestesmy przemarzniete i NIENAWIDZIMY chodzic na przelaj przez wrzosowiska!

cairngorms, day 2. the weather was still so-so, but anyway we decided to do a munro (actually 2 munros). it was a long walk... unfortunately the path disappeared half way up and (again) we had to go across the moorland. there was some snow higher up and sometimes we just couldn't see where the summit is because everything seemed to be a 'big white' (grey actually) the sky, the snow... anyway it was worth all the effords, views from the top of sgor gaoith were just amazing! its west ridge is so rocky! so steep! and below is just a hudge long valley (glen eanaich, we've been there last year) and blue-watered loch (loch eanaich). the view was so astonishing that it took us exactly 1 second to forget that we were soooo cold and that we HATE going across moorlands without any paths.

of course, the weather got much better when we came back down to the valley!

CAIRNGORMS - CHALAMAIN GAP

wycieczka dosc spontaniczna - po pierwsze mialysmy jechac do walii a po drugie zdecydowalysmy sie jechac do aviemore tylko dlatego ze miala jechac duza grupa ludzi... no ostatecznie pierwszego dnia bylysmy w 4 a potem juz tylko we dwie. oczywiscie nie zalujemy :) zrobilysmy sobie dluuugi weekend w aviemore (spanie w 'tipsy laird hostel' kingussie). pogoda nas nie rozpieszczala pierwsze dwa dni, potem juz bylo tylko lepiej. i tak: dojechalysmy w sobote rano z wielkim planem podboju munrosow, ale w kingussie przywital nas deszcz wiec postanowilysmy zrobic sobie rozgrzewke na czyms mniejszym. mialo byc 'niezobowiazujaco', ale ostatecznie szlak okazal sie calkiem sensowny (poza tym ze bylo obrzydliwie mokro momentami i zalalo sciezke a potem musialysmy sie przebijac po kostki w blocie przez wrzosowisko).

the trip was quite spontaneous, first of all we planned to go to wales! oh well :) we decided to go to aviemore because there was a large group of people going (but after all they withdrew) and first day it was 4 of us, later just me and bea. no regrets, of course. so, we had a long weekend in aviemore (nights at 'tipsy laird hostel' kingussie). weather was so-so for first 2 days, on the third one was quite not bad :)

we arrived to kingussie on saturday morning and it was spitting, so we decided to leave munros for later and start with a 'not too long warm up' walk somewhere low. at the end of the day the walk was pretty good (except of a fact that it was really wet sometimes and the path was under water sometimes ..and later we had to go thru really wet moorland..) adventures :)

so, on saturday we did:

chalamain gap to rodzaj bardzo kamienistego wawozu. swietnie sie szlo po tych wielkich skalach! przypomina troszke taterki..

chalamain gap is a kind of a rocky gorge. going thru it was a great adventure as the rocks were hudge. a bit like tatras, i would say..
